Winnie is a New York and Hong Kong based visual storyteller at the intersection of fantasy, arthouse and non-fiction cinema. Her work delves into the complexities of a third-culture, feminine body with a focus on colonial nostalgia, cultural artifacts, and relics of the folkloric occult within the Chinese diaspora.

Winnie's award winning animated short Albatross Soup premiered at Sundance Hong Kong in 2019 and went on to tour festivals internationally. Her debut feature Residency which she co-wrote, directed, shot, and co-edited world premiered at Rotterdam in 2023. Recognized by Variety as “part of the North American new wave of indie micro-budget genre features”, Residency will soon be streaming on SHUDDER.

Currently, Winnie is rostered at Lost Planet, a boutique post production company led by landmark editor Hank Corwin (Natural Born Killers, The Big Short) where she is editing a fantastical fairytale executive produced by Michel Gondry (Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind) while developing her sophomore feature, Grapefruit.
